Class overview
Physical education is the course where students learn about fitness and learn about different types of physical activities. Students will participate in fitness activities, such as playing games and sports, but they also learn about important topics concerning health and wellness. A lot of what we teach are the basics such as: How to wait in line, how to be a good sport, how to express yourself when you are happy/upset, how to talk to someone when they do something you don't like. Sports skills are very important, but social skills will apply for a lifetime. Our goal is to have healthy students who learn lifetime skills.
WE also try and integrate classroom topics as much as possible so they can get a practical "hands On" application to their learning.

Coach Williams
I started teaching at Nadine Johnson the 2006-2007 school year. I have seen the school go through many changes and I'm still loving being here getting to see all my students grow old with me. I live in Hutto and have a dog named Dusty. He loves delivering Amazon packages for me even though he's only 13lbs! I really love woodworking and have my own side business.-DustyWoodTX
Just for fun: Camping, fishing, 4 wheeling
My teaching style: Have fun while working hard! I believe Elementary PE should be an introduction to all things sports, fitness and health. They probably will not become experts at any one thing but they will go away knowing they have tried it all. I want every student to have fun but I run a very structured classroom. Students will have a lot of opportunities to get their wiggles out and there will be times that they will have to stop and listen as well.
Soccer is my favorite sport. I have played soccer since I was in 4th grade. When I was in college I played soccer at University of Incarnate Word.
Coach Kimball
I started at NJES in October of 2024. Prior to this I was an RPM (Spin) Instructor at the YMCA for several years. I am a Mom of 4 kids; 3 girls, and 1 boy: Kacelin, Devin, Parker and Dru. Grandma to two busy little boys: Calvin, and Draco. I also have four dogs: Duncan, Lola, Koda, and Bailee. I love cheeseburgers, waffles and chicken. I play pickleball 4-6 times a week, so I stay relatively active. I am a fan of watching Rugby, Soccer, and Hockey. And, I am even a BIGGER fan of watching my daughter, Parker play college volleyball.
