How to Play
The gameplay and name were inspired by the game Dispatch, where choosing the correct responder matters. In the game, players must race to an emergency location as it lights up. The first person who arrives at the location and scans their car receives a point and has the opportunity to answer a public service-related question for an additional point.
Museum Reflection
On April 12, 2026, my group and I were invited to present our project at Boston Children's Museum. From the experience, we made some observations:
Highly engaging and easy to understand for younger children
Racing to the correct emergency made the activity more exciting
Children showed a better attention span than adults and completed the game more often
Adult players were more likely to stop early, while kids stayed focused and wanted to keep playing
Additionally, the presentation affirmed that our game was designed for young children with simple controls and fast feedback. While creating the project, we learned that the impact that one incorrect wire can have on the entire system. Additionally, we built skills in programming, system integration, debugging, and iterative testing, which improved performance during the showcase.
