CHARACTER LEADERSHIP SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP
Donating to the Community
NHS pledged to make more donations to local organizations this year and the months of January and February saw the membership contribute $620 to three different groups: The Salvation Army ($150), CHAMP ($100), and the Huntingdon County Humane Society ($370).
Hosts Allyse Garner and Henry Kyper kept the action moving at the 2024 event. All of the acts did a phenomenal job of highlighting their talents but in the end, the panel of eight staff and student judges awarded the following performers for their efforts: Henry Kyper, first place; Xavier Cuff, second place; Catherine Weld, third place. Congratulations to all of the acts for their hard work!
Members of NHS helped at the Pride Telethon by answering the phones for the pledges and donations. NHS members also helped by setting up tables.
NHS members volunteered to provide activities and games for the elementary school students at Southside and Standing Stone.
NHS juniors organized and set up an afternoon of fun for the graduating seniors - "one last chance to be a kid", as one group put it!
