We are so proud of Lina! She has been accepted into the NYC Teaching Fellows program at Brooklyn College, where she will earn her Master's degree in Bilingual Special Education (grades 7β12).
The NYC Teaching Fellows is a program that trains people to teach in high-need schools across New York City, and Lina earned her spot through a competitive process that included written responses and interviews.
She plans to use her background in physical education, wellness, and youth development to become a certified bilingual special education teacher. She hopes to create inclusive classrooms where Spanish-speaking students and families feel seen and supported.
Go Lina!!
