Start of Term 2

It has been an excellent start to term 2 with children showcasing their learning in a wide-reaching and interesting way. You need only look at the following pages to see the excellent job the adults in the school have done in terms of framing the National Curriculum in a way that engages the pupils in such a clear way; it often means that I don't want to leave the classrooms either!

With the weather certainly feeling a little more wintery, I would like to draw your attention to Page 11 of the Parent and Pupil handbook which outlines what would happen in the event of extreme weather conditions.

PTA

Mr Bullock and I met with the fabulous PTA on Friday last week to discuss arrangements for Christmas celebrations. I know in the past there has been a Christmas Fair; however, this year we have remained a little more tentative for numerous reasons. However, there will be opportunities for your children to get into the Christmas spirit through some PTA organised events which I am sure will be shared very soon!

We have already started to think about the summer fair and other events which will take place throughout the year so watch this space!

Children In Need

As you know, last week we held a 'Come to school as your hero' day for Children in Need. The Hundred of Hoo Primary Academy raised £294.50 for this fantastic cause! Thank you very much for your support!
