Theme of the Fortnight
The current Theme of the Fortnight has been about 'Respecting Boundaries'. Mr Bullock's assembly discussed how different people have different boundaries and how boundaries, rules and consent are all very much associated.
Next week's assembly will build on this work and discuss what to do if we feel personal boundaries may have been crossed.
Forest School
We are very lucky to have had a new Forest School area built in the school grounds. Mrs Glass and Mrs Harwood, who have been officially trained in this area, are currently running sessions with our year R students who are excitedly developing risk-taking, communication and physical development skills. As the Forest School becomes more established, we will open up this offer to other cohorts across the school.
Anti-Idling Competition
As a school which is committed to developing internationally-minded children and global citizens, we are always thinking of ways in which we could have a positive impact on the local environment.
Recently we have noticed that some of the parents and carers, both in the Primary and Secondary, whilst waiting to collect their children, have been waiting in the car park or on the road with their engines on.
We are inviting children across the school to take action and create posters, poems, songs and speeches about why this may have an impact on the environment and how we could help reduce this.
I will be posting on the Google Classroom later this week and would love to encourage you to speak with your children about how to get involved and how we can improve this together!
