Star of the week
Shea - Shea has returned to school ready to learn. He is being a risk-taker and applying his phonic knowledge to his writing with increased independence and confidence. He is reflective of feedback given to him on how to improve his writing. Well done Shea!
George - George has been a fantastic risk taker in his writing this week! He is verbally rehearsing his sentences before writing and is now confident to write his ideas by himself. Well done George!
Amelia - Amelia has been especially caring this week to her peers. She is thoughtful and kind to others and will actively support her peers when they need it. Amelia has also been reflective of feedback given to her with her writing and is applying this in her independent writing. Well done Amelia, you are an asset to the class!
Callie - Callie has really pushed herself this week and been a risk taker. She has chosen to write pages for our class book on minibeasts in her child initiated time. She has been remembering to use her phonics sounds and has been reflective on how to improve her writing. Well done Callie!
Sienna - Sienna has been reflective this week and is using feedback to make improvements in her writing. She is communicating her knowledge of the life cycles of a sunflower and butterflies confidence.

Jesse - Jesse has returned to Module 4 with a fantastic attitude to learning. He is becoming an excellent communicator during taught sessions and is beginning to really think about how he can articulate his ideas. Jesse is also becoming very reflective in his writing and is spending his independent learning time choosing to write. Well done Jesse, keep up the fantastic attitude to learning.
Brody - Brody has been developing his reflective skills. He has shown an increased willingness to verbally communicate his opinions. Brody has shown he can be a fantastic inquirer through his participation in Drawing Club this week. Well done Brody, keep up the hard work!
Teddy - Teddy has been a fantastic inquirer this week when learning about minibeasts and their life cycles. Teddy has used his communication skills to explain what we have been learning at school and even go on a bug hunt at home. Teddy has been reflective in his writing and has made a huge improvement in his writing. Teddy is also demonstrating how knowledgeable he can be in his reading too. Keep up the hard work Teddy. Well done!
Sydney - Sydney has become a great risk taker over the course of the year so far. She is showing an increased willingness to try new things and has demonstrated a greater independence in her social skills and academics. Well done Sydney!
Louie - Louie has made a conscious effort to be reflective in his writing. He has tried to use extended sentences, full stops, capital letters and finger spaces consistently. He has been demonstrating knowledgeable he can be through communicating his ideas in drawing club and our inquiry lessons. Well done Louie, keep up the hard work!

Leo-James - Leo-James has returned to school with a fantastic attitude to learning. He read his book to Miss Helaith with increased fluency and expression. He was able to explain what had happened in the book and what might happen next. Well done Leo-James, keep up the hard work!
Hudson - Hudson has been a great thinker this week. He has worked hard writing his numbers to 50 on a number line. He has also been a reflective learner correcting any numbers that were written the wrong way. Well done Hudson, keep up the hard work!
Florence - Florence has worked very hard this week writing her own story based on The Tin Forest. Florence included lots of adjectives and time conjunctions. It was very interesting to read. Well Done Floss!
Ryley - Ryley has been a fantastic learner this week. He used his thinking skills and wrote a brilliant setting description about The Tin Forest. He included ambitious vocabulary and time conjunctions. It was a gripping read!
Hugo - Hugo has really pushed himself this week. He has been working hard in Phonics sounding and blending the words. His confidence in reading is starting to grow. Well done Hugo!

Stella - Stella Allen has returned to Module 4 with a fantastic and inquisitive attitude to learning. She has demonstrated excellent thinking and communicating skills by predicting the story 'The Tin Forest' and showcasing her prior knowledge of time conjunctions and great synonyms for feeling adjectives. Well done Stella!
Arthur - Arthur has been a excellent role model and amazing thinker this week. In Phonics, he has been working hard with orally blending and word reading independently. We proud of his confidence in being able to instigate and challenge answers in Maths and Science. Well done Arthur!
Iris - Iris is a joy to teach, she is always trying her best and helping others around her. This week, she has been a great thinker in English and super creative with her story planning. Well done Iris!
Riley - Riley is an absolute pleasure to teach, he is a fantastic role model and he displays our learner profile attributes. Riley's charisma and enthusiasm for learning is extremely positive and infectious to everyone around him. Arya - Arya has developed her confidence by taking risks in her learning, especially when applying her phonics to writing outcomes.
Ellis - Ellis has developed his confidence this week, especially in writing. Ellis has taken risks in his writing outcomes by having a go, using phonics to spell words correctly and shown great presentation skills. Well done Ellis!
Oliver - Oliver has been trying hard with his story writing this week by showing how knowledgeable he is. He has blown me away by adding extra detail in his writing such as using adjectives and adverbs to make his story more interesting.
Josh - For showing great communication skills by explaining his maths reasoning questions with confidence.
Logan - For being a risk taker this week in all of his subjects by trying really hard with his learning, especially with an inquiry. Well done Logan!

Archie - Archie has been a reflective learner this week. He has worked hard to manage his impulsivities as well as improving his presentation. Keep up the good work Archie.
Aubrey - Aubrey has been a reflective learner this week and really concentrated on improving his presentation in books. He has also shown how knowledgeable he is with his 2, 5 and 10 times tables and has been able to answer problems using these. Keep up the good work Aubrey!
Amelia - Amelia has been a reflective learner this week and has worked hard on improving her writing. Amelia has listened to feedback to improve her work. She has also developed her communication skills and is now more confident to share her ideas with the class. Keep up the good work Amelia.
Amir - Amir has been a reflective learner this week and has really focussed on the quality of his writing. This week he has written a fantastic set of instructions. With this improved attitude towards learning you will go from strength to strength. Keep up the good work Amir.
Sienna - Sienna consistently demonstrates that she is a principled learner. She is enthusiastic in every lesson and is always determined to be her best self. She is caring towards others and a great role model to others.

John - For showing an amazing attitude over the last week to his learning. He has settled in amazingly well, has taken risks and been reflective throughout the week. Well done John!
Thomas - Thomas has shown a fantastic attitude this week with his reading. He has been a risk taker trying to read outloud to a group using his communication skills as well as answering questions independently. Great Job Thomas! Keep it up!
Noah - Noah has shown an amazing attitude in his learning this week. He has tried to read different texts as well as answer questions linked to it independently. With his maths, Noah has develop a number of his mathematical skills to help support his learning.
Sebastian - Sebastian has worked really hard this week with developing his understanding in our inquiry lessons. He has been knowledgeable and built on his previous learning last module of plants when learning about rainforests. He has used his Social skills and communications when working in his group to create his work. Well done!
Parker - Parker has been a reflective learner this week and worked hard to develop his thinking and communication skills. He has asked questions to try and deepen his knowledge and build his understanding especially within our Inquiry lessons.

Boris - Boris has been a reflective learner since joining Squirrel class. He has worked hard to make the right choices and this is becoming evident in his learning. I am particularly proud of how well Boris manages his emotions and is always ready to take risks during lessons. Well done Boris, keep up the excellent attitude!
Albie - Congratulations Albie for achieving star learner status this week! He has demonstrated self-management skills and used classroom strategies to support independent learning. Well done Albie for showing off what you can do.
Emilia - Emilia has been an amazing thinker this week in her writing about a newspaper report. She has also been a risk-taker at the Music Festival, where she self-managed her emotions and overcame her fears of singing in front of an audience. You made us all very proud of you - well done!
Tito - Tito has been a risk-taker this week during lessons where he has made a conscious effort to raise his hand to answer questions. He is gaining confidence and thinking through his ideas during all lessons. Well done Tito!
Eva - Eva has been a knowledgeable inquirer this week during our history lesson about Sir Isaac Newton. She has worked hard to demonstrate her understanding of what made him such a remarkable figure in history. Well done Eva for contributing so much information!

Finley - Finley has been a fantastic communicator this week and has demonstrated a great understanding of our learning, particularly in Reading. He has been able to use his inference skills of text and images to fully understand what is going on in the story and make meaningful connections. Finley has really applied himself to all areas of learning this week and it has been lovely to see his confidence grow. Well done FInley, we are very proud of you!
Mia - Mia demonstrates an amazing ability to think outside of the box and has been able to showcase this during our reading lessons this week. She has communicated some fantastic answers which has been extremely beneficial in helping all of us in Kestrel class to develop our thinking skills. Mia is always kind to her peers and is very eager to help them as well as members of staff. Well done, we are very proud of you Mia!
Jade - Jade has been working incrediby hard this week, particulary in communicating her thoughts and ideas with Kestrel class. She has had some fantastic ideas regarding our new reading book and has really considered the impact of illustrations and writing on the reader. Jade is a caring member of the class and is someone who always tries her best in all that she does. Well done for having such a positive attitude to your learning!
Poppy - Poppy has been a great thinker this week and is someone who works incredibly hard all of the time. She always produces work to the best of her ability and showcases the skills we are learning, demonstrating how knowledgeable she is. Poppy is a principled member of the class who is kind, caring and considerate to her peers. Well done for showing fantastic integrity and being a wonderful role model in our school.
Nicole - Nicole has demonstrated her fantastic writing knowledge this week and has written a fantastic recount in the role of Annie Edson Taylor. She has ensured she has included numerous skills that we have learnt over the course of this year, giving it an incredible flair. Joel - Joel has shown a principled attitude this week by working hard in all his subjects. He has reflected on how to improve his handwriting even further, communicated his ideas and answers in maths clearly as well as shown inquiry skills in Geography. Well done Joel - keep up the great work.
George - George has shown excellent knowledge in maths this week with his arithmetic, by explaining his correct answers to the class. He has also been a risk-taker in his maths lessons, always challenging himself and being resilient if he does not succeed at first. He has made such good progress and should feel so proud of his attitude and achievements.
Adam - Adam has been a reflective learner this week in his English work, with carefully considered atmosphere descriptions in his narrative work. He has challenged himself, as always, by striving to complete complex maths problems. You are a fantastic role to others Adam, keep up the hard work.
