Celebrations

World Book Day

A huge thank you to our incredible staff and families for making World Book Day a resounding success! Your enthusiasm for books, characters and reading shone brightly. We were dazzled by the creative costumes, captivated by the imaginative writing competition entries and delighted by the number of families who purchased books from the book fair. Your generous support at the fair translated into a 40% book back offer, we now have a whopping £277 of new books which will significantly enrich our school library. Together, we are fostering a love of reading in our children that will last a lifetime. Thank you for celebrating the magic of stories with us! 

Author Visit - Dan Freedman

We were thrilled to welcome the incredible Dan Freedman, author of the bestselling Jamie Johnson book and TV series, to our school! Dan's passion for inspiring young readers was palpable. From his tales of interviewing Messi and Ronaldo, to the poignant story of 'I Am Lenny Brown', he captivated our students. His journey from football journalist to acclaimed author and his dedication to making reading cool, resonated deeply. With over 2000 school visits, Dan's impact is undeniable, igniting a love for stories and showing us that dreams, like Jamie Johnson's, can come true. His recent non-fiction book, "50 Ways into Football" also inspired many pupils to consider careers in the sport. 

Comic Relief

Our school rocked the 80s for Comic Relief’s 40th! What a blast from the past! Shellsuits, big hair, neon, and bling galore transformed our hallways into a vibrant time capsule. We celebrated decades of vital support for vulnerable communities with laughter and style. Seeing everyone embrace the era was truly amazing. A massive thank you to all families for your incredible efforts and generous donations. Your enthusiasm made this day unforgettable.
