Who are we?
The Hudson High School Drama Club and Thespian Society perform multiple shows throughout our season (school year); a Fall Play, Children's Show, and Spring Musical. The Club and Society are composed of students from 9-12 grade at the High School and occasionally students from lower Middle and Elementary Schools. Our Facility (The HHS Auditorium/Theater) provides learning opportunities for students to practice their craft on and off the stage with professional design mentors and artistic personnel.
This November, Hudson High School Drama Club will take audiences to a dystopian future where all forms of free expression are forbidden. Firemen are now ordered to set fires and destroy books instead of putting them out. However, when fireman Guy Montag meets a young girl interested in books, nature and art, he questions his work and the oppression of his society. In an act of rebellion, Montag begins to read the books he’s supposed to burn, risking his marriage, his job, and his life. Adapted from Ray Bradbury’s classic novel, Fahrenheit 451 is an enduring reflection on the survival of free speech and individual expression.
