Many parents have questions about the time commitment, rehearsal schedule and events leading up to and during the performance. Below is the typical schedule however it may differ slightly depending on the show.
REHEARSALS
We will traditionally rehearse 4 days out of the week; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:15PM-6:00PM and Sundays from 1:00PM-5:00PM. Usually after a few weeks we will be adding Mondays from 3:15PM-6:00PM and Tuesdays will be removed from the rehearsal schedule. Conflicts involving Orchestra, Jazz Band, Vocal Impact, Athletics, personal work schedules, ETC etc. will be accommodated on a case by case basis. Please be aware that the more conflicts you have could impact how you can be utilized in the production. If you have voice lessons, driving lessons, etc. during our scheduled rehearsals - you need to please move them to a day we do not have rehearsal on.

PERFORMANCES
Friday @ 7:00PM after we close on Fridays we traditionally go to Don Patron for FANCY FRIDAY.
Saturday @ 7:00PM after we close on Saturday we traditionally go to Swensons for SWENSONS SATURDAY.
Sunday @ 2:00PM after we close on Sunday we have "strike" and after we completely take down the set we have our CAST PARTY.
What are these events?
Fancy Friday is a chance for everyone to get a chance to hang out and get to know each other more.
Swensons Saturday is another chance for everyone to hang out after our shows. Find a friend who is able to drive and head over to Swensons, 4466 Kent Rd, Stow, OH 44224.
Strike is when we take down the whole set. After we have created the world of our production we have to take it down. We would all love to not have to take it down and embrace the beautiful sets that this organization creates but we can't. Sometimes this takes 6 hours for are bigger sets and sometimes it is only a few hours. It truly depends on how big the set is and how efficient we are.
The Cast Party is when everyone, not just cast, get to hang out and have fun. We celebrate our great work and get ready to be in our offseason. Usually the party is at a seniors house and there is a small fee.
For your student to be able to work in our amazing scene shop, use power tools, and operate/work with lighting equipment they will need to fill out the liability waiver and turn it into Advisor Bob Russell.
All students working in the Scene Shop will be responsible for providing their own safety glasses. If they don’t bring and use their own they will not be able to participate.
It's our goal to make sure drama club is a safe place for everyone and we strive to create environment where everyone gets to experience the personal connections that occur during a life theater production.
