What MK Offers

MK offers 4-hour K1 and K2 programmes for children:

Morning session (8am to 12pm)
Afternoon session (1pm to 5pm)

MK follows MOE’s calendar of school terms and school holidays.

Open to Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident children age 5 and 6 years old.

MK Timetable (Sample for MK AM)

MK health check: 7:45 AM to 8:00 AM

MK lessons begin promptly at 8:00 AM.

It is essential for children to be in class by this time, as they will start the day with circle time and greetings, which helps set the tone for the rest of the day.

Please note that any arrival after 8:00 AM will be considered late.

Additionally, after 8:10 AM, the health check will be closed. Should you arrive after this time (we understand that there might be unforeseen situations), kindly ring the office for assistance. Since teachers are engaged in lessons, there may be a wait of 10-20 minutes before we can attend to you.

For Full Day Care: MOE Kindergarten (MK) + Kindergarten Care (KCare) Service

MOE Kindergarten (MK) offers a 4-hour programme. However, parents who require a full-day service for their children can opt for Kindergarten Care (KCare) which is provided by Commit Learning Schoolhouse (with effect 1 Jan 2024) and based on MOE guidelines.

KCare provides the time and space for children to play, explore and discover in a specially designed environment with carefully chosen resources. Your child will have a variety of play experiences and exposure to different areas of interest. Click here to find out more about KCare service.

KCare fees are payable directly to the KCare vendor. Refer to "Our Fees" for more information.

MK + KCare (From 2025 onwards)

From 2025 onwards, the KCare service at MK@Huamin will operate only with a single KCare session in the afternoon.

During term time when MK is in operation, MK teachers will receive the children who are in KCare from 7.00 a.m. and KCare will operate from 12.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m..

During school holidays or when MK is closed, KCare will continue to operate between 7.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m..

Note that KCare centres can close for up to six days, in addition to Teachers’ Day, Children’s Day, and gazetted public holidays, each calendar year.

Note: There is no breakfast served between 7am to 8am. However, children will have their morning snack (20 mins) in MK between 9am to 10am, depending on individual MK class timetable.
