Course Overview

This course is designed for students learning Thai Modern Foreign Language. It aims to enable students to communicate effectively in Thai while fostering an understanding of and a positive attitude toward Thai culture. Students are encouraged to conduct themselves appropriately in Thai society and appreciate cultural diversity.

Course Objectives
The course is competency-based, focusing on helping students acquire a sufficient vocabulary and develop practical language skills for everyday life. Emphasis is placed on the integrated language skills of listening, reading, speaking, and writing, enabling students to communicate clearly, accurately, and effectively as they progress.

Curriculum Structure
Developed by HHIS Thai teachers and aligned with the Thai Modern Foreign Language framework established by the Ministry of Education (MOE), the curriculum is tailored to students' language backgrounds and abilities. The programme primarily focuses on conversational Thai, with increasing emphasis on basic literacy and grammar as students advance.
