We also aim to build self-confidence, creativity, and leadership skills in all our students so that no obstacle will be in the way of their future success.
Team History
Team 2191: Flux Core was founded in the 2006-2007 year by Mr. Scott Innocenzi, a teacher in technology at Nottingham High School in Hamilton, New Jersey. For the past ten years, the team has been developing our scientific and technological knowledge, as well as incorporating the principals of FIRST in our hard work. Our team is open to all who wish to join, as we understand that technology emphasizes development in all fields of study, from the mechanics of building our robots to promoting the FIRST message in our community.
We meet daily and separate into multiple different groups, such as BUILD, DESIGN, PROGRAMING, MEDIA, and FUNDRAISING. Build and Design team members work on the design and execution of the robot itself. They do many things from drawing and making gearboxes, to building game pieces for practicing. Programming does as the name implies, they use labview to make the robot function as it was designed, making our programmers very important and valuable to us. The Media Team promotes our team as well as FIRST. Whether it is through social media, school events, or our website. Fundraising raises money for us to be able to afford different materials for building the website, banners, shirts, etc. Ultimately, Team 2191 acts as one big machine, working hard to reach our ambitious goals.
2015 was a big year for FLUXCORE. It was the first year in our 9 year history that we made it to the FRC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. It was a very memorable week for the team, whether team members were in the stands, by the field, or talking to the many teams in the pits, the team had fun. This amazing experience inspires our team members to work hard so we can hopefully make it to WORLDS again.
