-Login to your laptop using the password provided. Follow the prompts to set up your new password.
-Your laptop will automatically connect to the HCS Wifi- no outside devices will connect to this network. Any personal devices needing wifi must be on the guest network. Printers will not connect to the wifi.
-You will be prompted to set up the Multi-factor authenticator. This is a mandatory step for added security.
-Make sure your device has Google Chrome. If it does not, go to the Company Portal to download it.
-Set Google Chrome as your default browser. This can be done in the settings of your computer.
-Connect to the district printers. This allows your to print wirelessly to any printer in the district. See full directions here.
-Open Chrome and make sure you have a Home button by the browser. This home button should take you directly to Clever.
-We have access to Google & Microsoft products. If you are missing Microsoft programs, you can download the Office Suite in Company Portal.
*Periodically, check the bottom right corner for notifications your laptop needs to be updated. This helps keep it running smoothly.
-In your Chrome browser, you should see your Google Suite workspace. Login to your Google Account using your district email and password. Follow the prompts and set up your profile.
-Open Gmail (your email). You should now be able to send and receive emails.
-Set up your email signature. You will want to include your name, school, and job title.
-In the Google Suite workspace, you should see all of the programs you have access to: calendar, meet, drive, docs, slides, sheets, forms.
-CORE (the staff portal) is located on both Clever or at the bottom of the HCS Website. Bookmark this website.
-CORE is where you can find links to all important staff needs. Some important links to note:
UKG: Clocking in system, Employee Self Serve: Paycheck & Tax info, Frontline: Substitute Portal, Employee Benefit information, Retirement information, Safe Schools Training, Field Trip Forms, Raptor infomation, FMX ticketing, Help Desk info, links and information for individual HCS departments & more.

For technical or hardware issues, the fastest way to a fix is by submitting a ticket in FMX. This can be found on Clever & Core. Be as specific as you can to expedite the process.
