In PE we have been learning about the sport of Sofcrosse - the modified version of Lacrosse.
Watch the above clip to help further your understanding of the rules of Sofcrosse.
Now I want you to watch this clip of some LACROSSE highlights!
You will notice that you see a number of things that make it different to SOFCROSSE.
Can you spot the differences? You might need to watch it again.
On your whiteboard or a piece of paper using words or pictures, complete the following:
Make a list of the differences you spotted.
(You might find some picture clues below...)
Why do you think Sofcrosse was created with these different rules?
Who do you think it was created for?
I have created a Dojo Task if you would like to send me a photo of your list. Log in instructions have been sent to parents.

In PE we have been exploring AFL skills and applying these skills into AFL9's games where we need to consider field movement and strategies.
I have created a choice grid below of 3 different activities related to our learning. You must choose ONE activity to complete.
There is then something active for you to do as well!
Option 1: AFL9’s v AFL
Learning Intention: to demonstrate an understanding of the modifications made in AFL9's.
Research the game of AFL 9s. Create a slideshow to show the similarities and differences between 9’s and the full version of AFL football.
Make another slide presenting the benefits of modifying the game and who it benefits.
Option 2: At Home AFL Game Creation
Learning Intention: to create your own modified version of football using an unconventional space at home.
Your task is to create a set of rules that allows your version of "home AFL" to be played safely and fairly. As part of this task you should also decide on how the rules will be applied and the justifiable consequence for any rule that is breached.
Teach a member of your family the game, play and see how it goes.
Reflect on the game after, would you make any adjustments to the rules?
Option 3: Kick Analysis
Learning Intention: to critically analyse your own kicking skills.
Watch the below video on how to kick an Australian Football. Recall the step-by-step instructions on how to execute a kick. Video yourself performing a successful kick. Critically analyse your kick, what was good?... How can it improve?
