Danza Kuduro: In this jazz dance students will be asked to experiment with facial expressions, focus and body awareness as they develop early performance skills.
Practice makes perfect!. The earlier dances are there for you too.
I'm sorry that last week's video was problematic. I've put the link up again this week. Thanks to those who let me know. If problems persist I'll share it again on Class Dojo.I love getting your videos - email is best at the moment: amccarthy@hsringwoodnth.catholic.edu.au

Men in Black: For today’s lesson, students will explore how movement can be used to portray characters, stories or themes. They will use specific technical and performance skills such as facial expressions, clarity of movement, body awareness and accuracy to effectively communicate these ideas.
Practice makes perfect!. Eventually try the dance without looking at the screen, particularly if your in grade 5 or 6. The earlier dances are there for you too.

This is the 2nd week of this 3 week project
Thanks to the students who have already sent me their videos -
You are amazing!
What to do:
Choose your music (school friendly)
Look on Dojo Portfolios for a Performing Arts Task - Write the name of your song, Who it's by and Why you chose it. I will put it up on Tuesday morning.
Work solo, or if you can, work together with a friend online - use the same song
Length - about 2 minutes is fine - (shorter if video files get too long)
Think about:
Opening position - introduction
Steps to tell the STORY of the song
AEROBIC / ENERGETIC steps - TO KEEP US FIT
Movement on the spot and around the space
Rising up and falling down
Pausing / resting
Patterns and repeats - make it easy to learn
Ending position
