In this version 4 is pronounced 'shi' and 7 is pronounced 'shichi'. Don't forget to practise the gestures to help you remember the numbers!
Here is our new song. We are going to learn how to count up to 20! It's a bit fast but don't worry we will practise this every week!
Here is a Pokemon exercise. Can you count to the beat in Japanese?
Watch the video and then record your answer to the roll question on Class Dojo Portfolio. I will set the activity on Tuesday morning.
I've noticed each week your confidence growing when answering the question ; )
Let's watch the video again!
Somebody muddled up the window numbers. Can you help write them in the correct order?
Once you have finished the sheet upload it to Class Dojo Portfolio. I will set the activity on Tuesday morning.
**A note for parents and carers - please do not feel obliged to print this sheet out, especially in colour! If you do not have a printer please copy the numbers as they are and draw a rough train with space underneath for them to put them in the correct order. Please remember to include the follow up question at the bottom. Arigatou!**
Here is the "magic box" version of the Hiragana alphabet!
Let's sing the colour song! Don't forget to include the gestures when you sing.
This is our new song for this term. Listen to the song and clap every time you hear the word くま (kuma).
This week is the same as last week but I would like you to try and include the colour of the item and い or の, whichever is appropriate.
Sentence pattern:
(Colour) い or の (Item) を
みます。
Practise your answer and then upload it to Class Dojo Portfolio. I will create the activity on Tuesday morning.
**The answer does not need to be about an animal, it can be be anything from around the house.**
**If it's a bit challenging to add the colour just tell me what you see.**
In class we have already learnt how to say the colours as a noun. Our focus this week is to change the noun form into an adjective so we can use it to describe things! You will be successful if you can add the correct ending to the name of the colour (think about if it's a thumbs up or a thumbs down)!
Can you draw up a bingo grid (3 by 3) on some scrap/plain paper and inside each box draw a different coloured heart, using the colours we have learnt.
Watch the video and cross out the colours when you hear them. Don't forgot to use your spontaneous language when you can!
You do not need to submit/send this to me.
Here is our new Hiragana song!
Sing along with the song. Don't forget our Harry Potter saying to help you ; )
Peter Has Blonde Hair
Harry Potter
Harry Potter

You will find week 5's roll question at the end of the video including some example answers. Record your answer in a full Japanese sentence about the number of animals on that slide and upload it to Class Dojo Portfolio. Please upload it to your individual grade - not the level.
Yes I spelt gNome like that on purpose!
Find out what the little っ does!
This activity/game is completely optional this week. If you would like to have a go click on the link for your grade then type your first name and first initial of your surname with no space (you will need to use your name as it would be on the roll - unless it's a preferred name) and no nicknames eg. I would be NicoleS and then press GO.
Your work will appear. You don't need to sign up or log in and you don't need to print or hand anything in to me. It automatically saves your work and I can see it from my screen as you do it! If you need help you can click the hands up button and I'll try and get back to you asap ; )
This week there are TWO pages - don't forget to turn the page! The first page is getting use to the toolbar (if you have done the toolbar page previously you can skip it) and the second page is the word find.

Here is our new Hiragana song!
Let's watch the Mos Burger CM about this limited edition burger!
This song is about general counters. We will use these counters for our food/drink orders.
Our roll question and video is the same as last week!
The sentence pattern will be:
(Food) を (counter) ください。
If you want to extend yourself then include と between your food/drink items.
Eg. フライドポテト を 二つ と コーラ を 一つ ください。
This translates to: I would like two chips/fries and one cola please.
Record your answer (food order) and upload it to Class Dojo portfolio. Please upload it to your individual grade - not the level.
