The Humane Society of Hobart recognizes the animal human bond as a means of reciprocating joy, stress relief, and health benefits for both the pet and the person.

HSH recognizes the magnificent relationships that are built by rescuing and owning a pet. HSH recognizes the benefits pets bring into our lives and the common bond shared between pet owners.

HSH provides boots on the ground outreach in the neighborhoods of Hobart, Lake Station, and New Chicago to share information about resources and veterinary care, offer pet supplies and pet food, assist with networking opportunities for pet families, and facilitate trap/neuter release of feral and community cats.

Plans to add vaccine clinics, microchipping clinics, and on-site pet license registration by the H.O.P.E. Outreach Team are currently being developed.
