Silent Auction Rules
Thanks for being part of The Humane Society of Hobart's Silent Auction! With your generous support, we hope to raise much needed funds to keep our hometown shelter open and, continue the important work we do for our community.
Please familiarize yourself with the following rules before registering and bidding to ensure the auction runs smoothly and we all have a great time.
Bidding begins ONLINE on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 6:00pm on our Silent Auction platform.
Bidding continues IN PERSON on Saturday, May 25th at 6:00pm at our 70th Anniversary Celebration.
Final bidding closes IN PERSON and ONLINE on Friday, May 25th at 10:30pm.
Winners announced IN PERSON about 10:45pm. Winners will also be posted on our webpage.
The auction item value listed is based on an estimate of the fair market value, as determined by the item donor and The Humane Society of Hobart.
All bids must meet the minimum bid requirement, or they will be disqualified.
Bidders may bid multiple times on the same item.
All bids are FINAL.
Bidders agree to pay in full the amount they bid at the conclusion of the auction.
Some limits may apply to the auction items.
Age restrictions apply to certain items. Bids placed by any individual who does not legally qualify for any item will be disqualified. Valid ID may be required to purchase items with an age restriction.
The Humane Society of Hobart assumes no liability for risk or hazards associated with items won. Winner assumes all responsibility for risk and injury.
Items are subject to change or be withdrawn without notice at any time.
The bidder with the highest recorded bid at the close of the auction will win the item.
Items will not be released to winners until payment has been received in full.
All items are sold as-is.
All sales are FINAL.
