Classroom Expectations & Code of Conduct

5th Grade Classroom Expectations:

In our classroom the students are held to high expectations.  Instead of rules posted in the classroom, we have signs with the following choices, you can or can not:

*      Have Positive Attitude

*      Be Honest

*      Be a Hard Worker

*      Be Respectful

My goal is for them to choose their own behaviors and learn that all choices we make in life have positive or negative consequences, in or outside of the classroom.

Behavior Rewards may include: Oilar Coupons, class-earned rewards, positive postcards, Praise Notes, special events, and positive call or e-mails

Behavior Consequences may include: missing recess, communication to parents, missing field trips or other special occasions, consequences from our Assistant Principal or Principal.

Our Code of Conduct:

I will not lie, cheat, or steal,

nor will I tolerate anyone who does.

I will treat everyone with dignity and respect.

I will leave every situation better than I found it.

I will realize that my actions have consequences.

I will not blame others for the consequences of my actions.

I will accept the consequences that result from my actions.
