Music Explo is a course offered to students on the Explo Wheel in 7th grade.  Throughout this quarter we will be reviewing and learning the importance of music in life, the science of how music exists, and basic elements of music analysis and expression (tempo, dynamics and articulation). We will be learning how to listen to, analyze, and describe various forms of music, as well as evaluate musical performances. Various musical styles and genres will be discussed, as well as other cultures, music in movies, and possible music careers. The goal of this class is to help students develop a greater understanding and appreciation of the music we experience on a daily basis.
