Hi, there! 

My name is Katie Brown and this is my fifth year teaching. As a Hillsboro Alum, it's incredible to be back home and teaching in the district that shaped me into who I am. I graduated from Hillsboro in 2016 and just recently graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) with a degree in K-12 Vocal Music Education. I completed my student teaching in the Spring of 2020 right here at our very own Hillsboro Jr. High. 

Music has given me so many incredible opportunities over the years: from singing at Disney World to Carnegie Hall in New York. My hope is that we can create once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and memories for you, as well. 

Things I LOVE include: spending time with my husband, our cats, family, and friends; nachos; exploring new places; birds; the color blue; and watching The Office, Friends, and How I Met Your Mother!
