Consequences:


Green day (no notification will be sent home)

  • Student followed rules all day

  • Some reminders of rule (this can be a general reminder for example “Please remember to be quiet in the hall.”) were given.

Yellow day - a behavior form will be sent home

  • Multiple warnings given to correct the behavior (next incident of the same behavior will result in 5 min out of an activity or recess)

Red day- a behavior form will be sent home

  • Removed from activity for remaining time/sit out a given time of recess

  • Detailed note sent home describing behavior

Office write-up- A office write up will be sent home

  • Child is sent to the principal’s office

  • Parent is contacted (by note or phone call) and a discipline write up is filled out

** As you can see, these are pretty simple rules. However, Kindergarten boys and girls do forget them easily, especially the first couple of weeks. Please review the rules with your child occasionally, especially at the beginning of school. In addition, there will be opportunities for the class as a whole to earn special things for good behavior.
