Apprenticeship and Training
WHy APPRENTICESHIPS OR TRAINING/TRADE PROGRAMS???
Apprenticeships and training/trade programs offer a unique experience for students interested in learning a trade. Apprenticeships are essentially paid training for your future career. Programs include training for careers in manufacturing, public safety, food preparation, health care and construction. The information below explains more specific programs that are available to students after graduation.
Trade school programs are shorter than college programs; they run from less than one year to up to two years.
The focus of trade schools is on giving students hands-on experience directly related to a specific job. At the end of a program, you can get a diploma or certificate, prepare for a licensing exam, or become an apprentice or journeyman in a skilled trade.
Admission is mostly open enrollment.
