What social issues can we work to address as a society?
In Mr. Gossett and Mr. Gardner's ELA classes, students are working on identifying a social issue that is important to them, gathering evidence for their argument and outlining and writing their persuasive essay to an influential person. Students can choose issues on various scales, from schoolwide to countrywide to worldwide.
How do properties of atoms determine the creation of molecules?
Students in Mrs. Blincoe's class are ending the year with Physical Science content. After mastering the basics of atoms, elements, and reading the periodic table, students are now moving into a PBL Unit that addresses molecules.
Students will explore how molecules are created and bonded. They will bring their own experiences and interests by creating their "Molecule of Me". The project will involve creating their own elements and periodic table, molecular representations and accurate bonds of their molecules.
