I am a Grand Valley graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art, an emphasis in Illustration and a Teaching Certificate for Art Education! I am so honored that I get to teach kids about art everyday, to me, there is no better job on earth! I am passionate about everything art. I believe it is so important for people to get to experience art making, because it has so many emotional, physical and mental benefits! When I am not teaching art, I can be found in my little home studio painting and experimenting with different art materials. I love to challenge myself and art always offers a new opportunity for growth and learning! Currently, I am painting a Large acrylic butterfly painting for my niece's nursery. Art is so special to me because it can bring so much joy to the creator and to the viewer. My hope is that your kids experience the joy of creating art, viewing art and giving the gift of art while they are at Alward! :)

This July I got married to the love of my life! It was a beautiful day celebrating with friends and family. While my email is still "tglashow" I now go by Mrs. Skogheim or Mrs. S while in class!
