About me

My name is Keisha Stephen (formerly Tucker).  I was born in Jamaica West Indies.  I came to the United States on September 30, 1990. I went to High School in Jamaica Queens, NY.  My undergraduate degree is Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from the University at Stony Brook.  My graduate degree is Masters of Arts in Teaching Science from the University of Buffalo. I have been teaching Science at Highland Park High School since September 2002.  So,  this is my 21st year teaching at HPHS. Prior to teaching in NJ, I taught AP Chemistry and Regents Chemistry at Valley Stream North High School in NY from 1999-2002. That makes this school year (2023-2024) my 24th year teaching!

I married Andy Stephen on February 14, 2003 (Valentine's Day). We have two children. Simone was born May 2004 and Suzette was born September 2008.  I am the leader for their Girl Scout troop.  So when it is cookie season (January-March) please let me know which type of Girl Scout cookies you would like to buy. :)  I also sing in my church's adult choir.

This picture was taken in Summer, 2022,  at the Bridging ceremony for my daughters. Simone is now an adult scout, after 11 years and Suzette is now a Senior scout, after 10 years.
