Hello! My name is Kristin Motley. I am thrilled to be the GT Coordinator for Harrison. This will be my 18th year in education, and my fifth year teaching at Harrison. I received my bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas Tech University. I taught ten years in the Russellville School District, one year in the Greenwood School District, and two years in the Omaha School District. I have my Masters in Educational Theory and Practice from ASU in Jonesboro. I am also a graduate of the Arkansas Teacher Leader Institute and am a National Board Certified Teacher. In 2014, I was awarded Teacher of the Year for Center Valley Elementary and for the Russellville School District. I also graduated from ASU in Jonesboro for a second time in the Spring of 2021 with my certification in gifted education. I teach 1st - 4th grade Discovery classes at Skyline Elementary and 4th grade GT at Skyline.
I have been married to Brandon Motley for 17 years. We have three beautiful children. He works for Arkansas Game and Fish, and we are both active members at Harrison Faith Church. My favorite things are spending time with my family, Chick-Fil-A, sweet tea, and traveling with my family. Teaching has been my passion for many years. I love teaching computer science and having students solve real world problems. My classes focus on STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math).
Hello! My name is Becca Jackson. I am beyond excited to be one of the GT teachers and the Advanced Placement Coordinator for Harrison this year. This will be my 15th year in education, and my sixth year teaching at Harrison. I received my bachelor’s in Journalism from Arkansas Tech University. I taught for eight years in the Springdale School District and one year in the Pea Ridge School District. Most of my time as an educator has been spent teaching middle school science. I have a Master’s of Education in Gifted, Talented, and Creative Education from Arkansas State University. In 2018, I was awarded Energy Teacher of the Year by Arkansas Energy Rocks. In 2022, I received ASU's Honor's Day Award for outstanding achievement in the field of gifted, talented, and creative education. I teach 5th - 8th grade GT at Harrison Middle School and 9th-12th grade GT at Harrison High School. I also help coach chess and Quiz Bowl. Go Gobs!
I have been married for 15 years. We have a son who will turn seven this fall. My husband works for Black Hills Energy, bringing us to Boone County. We feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community. My favorite things are spending time with family, teaching, riding my motorcycle, camping, hiking, traveling, and thrifting. I love my job as a teacher and can't wait to continue building relationships with my students, their families, and fellow educators!
Hello! My name is Kheidi Davis. I am so excited to be the GT Teacher at Forest and the Kindergarten Center this year! I will be teaching 1st-4th grade Discovery classes, 3rd-4th grade GT at Forest, and enrichment at the Kindergarten Center.
This will be my 10th year in education, and my sixth year teaching in Harrison. I received my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point and my master’s degree in Gifted and Talented Education from the University of Central Arkansas. This past school year, I finished my certification as a Lead Teacher through the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching.
I spent my first 9 years in education teaching first grade. One of my favorite things to do has been classroom transformations and I'm excited to do them with all of the Forest Heights students. I love helping students foster their critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities, and encouraging them to think outside the box. Outside of school, my favorite hobbies are reading, gardening, and spending time with my family.
