Dear Parents and Guardians,
We recognize that it must be extremely overwhelming and stressful to support your child with virtual learning. We created this page to give you a few resources that might make it easier for you to either help your child at home or make sure you know how to check in on their progress. Take a look at these short videos below. They will explain the basics of the main technology that we will be using in class. Feel free to reach out at any time if you have any questions or concerns. Please know that our main priority is the success of your child. We are in this together!
Respectfully,
Lauren Vuocolo
This video is made for students, but it a great way to show parents how to navigate google classroom. You will need to ask you child for his/her school gmail account login and password. Once you sign in, you can look through the courses, see your child's running average, and check to see whether or not your child is missing any assignments.
We will be using REMIND to send messages to students and parents. This will allow us to send a direct message to your cell phone- keeping everyone's information private. We encourage everyone to sign up in order to stay in the loop!

Take a look at the video and image below which will walk you through the steps of how to check your child's grades/progress.
Have your child log in to google classroom and select our class. Then follow these steps:
Click on the "CLASSWORK" tab at the top of our google classroom
Click "VIEW YOUR WORK"
Then you can see your child's assignments and grades
Your child's running average is to the right of his/her name
You can view all of the assignments we have posted (including the due dates and point value)
All the way in the right hand column you can see your child's grade for each assignment, if he/she turned in the assignment, if the assignment is missing, if the assignment is marked as a zero (not submitted), and/or if the assignment was turned in late.
