Daily Agenda Summary

  • Students will continue to close read and annotate the story for important information regarding Trevor Noah’s experience growing up and how the world saw him (looking specifically at characterization and conflict).They will use this to determine a central idea and analyze the author’s use of writing strategies to develop that idea.

Opening:

  1. Review what needs to be annotated and highlighted:

    • conflict: highlight and label

    • characterization of Teddy: highlight and label

    • characterization of Trevor: highlight and label

                  • Be sure to use different colors for each category above.

Work Period:

  1. Independently, continue to annotate "Colorblind" excerpt
