The "MB" stands for the place name I am spreading awareness to, Makaiwa Bay. The wave and the sun are upside down to resemble the fact that something is unjust and could be improved. (When you turn something around, you improve it)

One day in capstone, I was brainstorming ways in which I could make the MB stand out without overlapping one another. This day coincidentally landed on Lā Kūʻokoʻa Day and I thought about why Hawaiians hang the flag upside down. I copied this concept and created the sunset upside down above the "MB" for similar reasons.
