Howick Magic the Gathering Club

Welcome to the Magic the Gathering club at Howick College! We are excited to have you as a member of our community. Our club is dedicated to promoting the game of Magic the Gathering and providing a fun and friendly environment for students to come together and play.

As a member of our club, you will have the opportunity to participate in games, tournaments, and other events. You'll be able to learn from experienced players and teach new members the game. We'll be awarding points for participating in club activities, winning games, teaching new members, and contributing to the club. These points can be redeemed for prizes such as booster packs and special cards.

We encourage you to participate in as many club activities as possible and to get to know your fellow members. We believe that the game of Magic the Gathering is a great way to develop strategy and critical thinking skills, as well as build friendships.

We are looking forward to a great year of playing Magic the Gathering together! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me or one of the club captains.

We play during Wednesday and Friday Lunchtimes in L8 classroom. 

Feel free to bring your own cards, ask for a starter kit, or use the decks provided.

[ON PAUSE] There is now a points system, where you can earn points for playing games and redeem them for more cards to keep. Find more about it in the Club Rewards tab.

2024 Term 3's tournament has finished, congratulations to Dylan Loo!

There are plenty of people who are new to the game here, though there are also many people who can teach you, including. I have included a section on the site on how to play and different ways to play. Browse through the website or follow the links below if you want to learn. 

Don't worry, we can provide you with a small box of cards to get you started, and you'll be able to earn cards, so you'll never have to buy any. Additionally Mr Hills is obsessed with building new decks so there is a large library of decks constantly getting added for you to use.
