Introduction
This deck was part of the original decks made for the club. The deck-list came Card Kingdom as part of their Battle Decks, and were chosen for their variety of abilities, lower cost and easier to understand strategies. If you want to find some other lists they have been compiled here.
Key Strategy
The key strategy for the deck is to attack quickly overwhelm the opponent with creatures in the early game, to take advantage of big beaters in the later game to take the win. There are some creatures that do damage when they die, such as Careless Celebrant, and Footlight Fiend, which can trade up advantageously, or take out 2 of your opponents creatures for your 1. Additionally there is Sultai Emissary which allows you to manifest the top card of your library, getting an extra 2/2 creature when it dies, that has the chance of becoming a different creature if you managed to manifest a creature off the top.
There are creatures that can sacrifice your creatures to do damage, such as Fireblade Artist, and Butcher of the Horde to give it extra effects for the turn. Mardu Ascendancy is key mainly for its first effect of putting goblin creature tokens into play, giving you more damage and creatures to sacrifice.
