Welcome to fourth grade technology class at Memorial.  Students will be learning technology on a brand new iPad with a special new case including a track pad.

We focus a lot on responsibility in fourth grade. Make sure to always plug your iPad in when you get home from school, and remember to bring it to school every day. We use our iPads for school related things only, so make sure you are using this device as a learning tool. 

In technology class, we will learn how to customize our iPads so they work best for us. Last year the students learned a lot about typing more quickly and accurately, and this year we will continue to grow our typing skills. We will learn about the importance of being a good digital citizen, taking our knowledge of coding to the next level, and working with some new robots.

Fourth graders will also be entering a schoolwide Steam Tank competition this year, on a special project we are working on in class.  Students are brainstorming creative solutions to real-world problems and entering their inventions in a competition to possibly compete in a statewide challenge! We are going to have another great year together in technology at Memorial School!
