About this program:
Part 1:
The English for Skilled Trades language support class is 65 hours, plus optional tutoring and career advising. This class helps you with study skills, speaking, reading, and vocabulary skills you need to be successful in your skilled trades career.
Cost: Free tuition, $60 materials fee.
Part 2:
Intro to Skilled Trades and Craft Professionalism I
This is the first in a two-part course that will use a nationally recognized training curriculum to prepare individuals for entry-level positions in the skilled trades. Topics to cover include: basic safety, blueprint reading, math skills, hand and power tool use, material handling, employability skills, as well as industry recognized credentials in OSHA, First Aid and CPR. Must complete both XM-106 and XM-107 to receive completion certificate. 4.8 CEUs. $750 (includes $300 in fees*)
