Because of limited time, most tech PDs and trainings take place one on one or after school. Most trainings focus on helping our teachers feel more comfortable using Canvas and using platforms like Kahoot! and Quizizz to create a more interactive experience for our students.

Informal observations and teacher check ins at the beginning of the year were used to tier teachers based on the amount of support they would receive from the CIT unless they reached out.
Booking menu posters were posted around campus with QR codes linked to my Microsoft booking page so staff can reserve time with me to address their tech needs.
Conquering Canvas serves as our open labs every Tuesday. Teachers get a chance to refresh Canvas skills they learned over the summer, set up their Canvas course and learn new skills like embedding and video quizzes.
After school open labs are facilitated and stored in a Canvas course. The staff also receive newsletters with tech tips, resources and shout outs.

Ms. Witherspoon serves as our Canvas Champion and her dedication to preparing her 8th grade RLA students ready for high school with her consistent use of Canvas is unmatched. She has meticulously organized her assignment and various resources into easy to navigate modules. She amplifies student voice with her use of group discussion and encourages student autonomy by having her students decide how they want to complete their digital assignment. She post screen recordings for students to refer back to if they need help or missed class and uses the group feature to support her small group stations. Her course serves as an example of how effective Canvas can be when implemented with fidelity.
