Ms. Murchinson, our school secretary, assisted in collecting user device fees with SchoolPay.
Ms. Kirk collected and recorded all cash payments as well as ensured all students recieved PowerUP paperwork.
Ms. Brooks kept us informed of any newly enrolled students and ensured their parents knew of the PowerUP program.
The campus was plastered with posters to get students excited about receiving their own devices and encourage them to get turn everything in ahead of the deployment date.
During preservice, we were given the opportunity to introduce ourselves as the PowerUP team, explain what the initiative was all about and give some campus expectations around technology.
We were able to give parents a crash course in PowerUP during Back to School night.
Families got the the chance to fill out and turn in all their paperwork after meeting the teachers so their students could be among the first to receive their Chromebook.
