Frida Kahlo's Casa Azul in Coyoácan, Mexico
Frida Kahlo lived from 1907 to 1954. Frida spent most of her life in Mexico, and she married another Mexican artist named Diego Rivera. Frida lived an adventurous and creative life. However, she also faced many challenges, such as contracting polio as a young child and being in a bus accident when she was 18. After the accident, she had to stay in bed. She painted often during this time, and her main subject was her own face that she saw in the mirror. She also painted her many pets!
