A: Absolutely! We've introduced our monthly newsletter tailored for bloggers and bookstagrammers keen on reviewing HTP titles. Apply to join the program right here! Plus, for ebook enthusiasts, you can request titles on NetGalley.
Q: What do you look for in reviewers and influencers who are interested in being a part of the program?
A: The key is the consistent posting of engaging book reviews on your platform. We especially love it when your passion for reading is front and centre.
Q: Does it matter how many followers I have?
A: Nope. While follower count is a factor, it’s not the be-all and end-all. We value thoughtful reviews and captivating book photos and videos just as much.
Q: Do you work with #OwnVoices reviewers and influencers?
A: Certainly! We actively seek out Own Voices communities for our books and welcome reviewers passionate about specific Own Voices topics. Reach out to us at promotions@hottreepublishing.com to explore further.
Q: When will a book be available to review?
A: Finished copies are shared about a month before publication. For early birds, ebook files on NetGalley may be available as early as six months before publication.
Q: What’s the best way to get approved to read an ebook on NetGalley?
A: Keep your profile and bio up-to-date! Your information helps us decide on approvals. Links to your blog, Instagram, or other reviewing platforms are crucial.
Q: Can I request a finished book for photography/videoing purposes?
A: Absolutely! Email us at promotions@hottreepublishing.com with your request and mailing address.
Q: What are your expectations for book enthusiasts when you give them a free copy to review?
A: We hope you enjoy the book and share an honest review on your platform. However, there are no strings attached; what you post is entirely up to you.
Q: What if I don’t like a book you sent me to review?
A: That’s okay! Not every book resonates with every reader. Feel free to skip featuring it if it didn’t click for you.
Q: When should I post my review?
A: Posting around publication day or release week is fantastic, but we understand if life gets in the way. Post when it feels right for you.
Q: Should I post my review on other platforms too?
A: Definitely! Sharing on multiple platforms helps generate buzz for the author and book.
Q: Should I email you my review links?
A: If you’ve been in touch with us, sharing the links is helpful.
Q: Should I tag Hot Tree Publishing in my social media reviews?
A: Yes, it helps us see your posts about HTP books!
Q: Should I tag the author?
A: If you adored the book and gave it five stars, tagging the author is a lovely gesture. Just be considerate of their feelings.
Q: Can I sell or trade my ARC?
A: No, ARCs provided by us for free cannot be sold for profit. Doing so will result in removal from our program.
