Seniors
Classes you will take as a Senior:
English IV or English 1010/1020 (College English)
4th year Science (not required for graduation but needed to be Hathaway eligible)
American and Wyoming Government
4th year Math (not required for graduation but needed to be Hathaway eligible)
Senior Capstone/Work Experience/Teachers Aid
Elective of your choice
Please keep in mind you need 4 years of a Fine/Performing Arts class, Foreign Language class, or CTE class, of which two years need to be sequenced years to qualify for the top two tiers of the Hathaway Scholarship. Check out the link to learn more about each level of the scholarship.

June-August 2023
Summer is a great time to visit colleges. As your college search process moves into high gear, contact the college you're interested in and spend the day getting treated like royalty exploring your new academic home.
Know your cumulative GPA and class rank. Compare your academic record to your college's academic admission requirements. Most colleges award scholarships that are based on GPA and rank as well.
Review your senior schedule to make sure you will meet the academic core curriculum requirements for your college
September 2023
Schedule individual Senior meetings with Mrs. Daniels.
Work on updating your resume (brag sheet) to include honors/awards/achievements, community service or volunteer experiences, leadership roles, extracurricular activities, education, work experience, etc.
Ask for letters of recommendation: two from school personnel, one from an employer/coach/supervisor, one from a person who has known you for several years that can attest to your character (not a family member).
Begin composing scholarship/admissions essays in a Google Doc.
October 2023
Apply for admission to colleges and or trades programs accepting enrollments for Fall 2024 and look up scholarship on the counselor corner scholarship tabs and on goingmerry.com

Sign up for February 10th ACT by January 5th with Counselor Daniels
February 2024
Finish college scholarship applications (for your specific college). Most colleges have a March 1st deadline, but some are earlier, so please check your specific school.
March 2024
Complete local scholarships by March 15th send all to Counselor Daniels that indicates so and mail all the rest to addresses listed on the Application.
April 2024
College scholarships available (check your college's financial aid website for scholarship opportunities)

May 2024
May 1 or 3rd TBA – College Signing Day!!! Confirm with the college you're attending and accept financial aid award offers
May 14th - Attend Senior Scholarship Night in the Auditorium at 6:00 pm
May 19th – GRADUATION!!!
June 2024
Congratulations on your high school graduation!
We send your college a final high school transcript or we send that to you at home. Your admission file is re-evaluated during this time to confirm that you have completed the required core curriculum and maintained a sufficient cumulative GPA.
Write Thank-you's for scholarships you received and get those turned in with a copy of your proof of enrollment at your college/university so money can be sent to the college to Counselor Daniels or send those in the mail to the person indicated on your letter you received.
