Girl Missing Series

10/10

I would recommend the Girl Missing Series by Sophie McKenzie. It is mystery and it is so well written that you cannot put it down. This book is about a girl who realizes that she has been kidnapped and seeks to find the truth, encountering many challenges along the way. However, when she does find out the truth she must hide from it as her life may be in danger. I I would rate this 10/10.

The Man Who Invented the Twentieth Century - Robert Lomas

I recently finished this non-fiction biography by Robert Lomas, all about the life of Nikola Tesla, a man whose achievements and great discoveries are often forgotten.

The book takes us right through Tesla`s life and all of his many successes, those that were exploited by Edison, whom he thought was his good friend and saviour. Nikola was no business man, but a good creator, naive to harnessing his work for wealth. Edison was a businessman, who took advantage of Tesla`s intelligence to monetize it for his own benefit.

Even now, so many patents of his have been found and repeatedly buried for the fear that the ruling class would hand over power and give us the ability to transform our world into one in which they have no power. Nikola Tesla is a very underappreciated genius, and coming from a reader who doesn't usually go near non fiction, this book was very interesting and I definitely enjoyed it.

Kayla - Year 9

Northern Lights

9.5/10

I definitely would recommend if you like:

I also recommend the following books of the series: The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass

Yola, Year 9

I recommend the Cassandra Clare Shadowhunter series (City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls), it’s an amazing fictional series about a young girl named Clary finding out she’s not completely mundane and goes on a journey with a young group of teenagers who grew up in this other world she needs to figure out. There is also a series version of it on Netflix called “Shadowhunters: The mortal instruments”.

Yasmin, Year 9

Look into my Eyes

I would recommend this book as it is about a girl who is asked to crack a code from a secret agency. If you like murder mystery books then this book is for you.

I would give it 9/10.
