Students will need:
- A birth certificate, awards, documentation, passport, drivers licences, ANY kind of achievement (CARR awards)
- Two referees who aren’t family members. Should like them!
- Need to know the differences between skills and qualifications

Start off by completing the work book.
For activities 9, 10 , 11, you make your CV. You could use the My Mahi CV builder, but make sure you include all the sections for assessment.
Then use the Assessment Document to link all the resources in one place, and attach your CV. There is a CHECKLIST on the document to make sure you have everything.

What is Genius Hour?
Genius Hour is a time when students are allowed to explore topics that interest them the most. The instructional focus of Genius Hour is much more about the process of exploration than the content. Students are tasked with researching their topics of interest and teachers help guide their research more through questions than direct learning/content delivery. Students have the freedom to access resources and people in the building who can help with the topic they’ve chosen.
Guiding principles
You must have a driving question
Research must be involved
The project must be shared in some way
You must reflect on your experiences - CONTINUOUSLY
You must collect and share the skills have you acquired that show you have grown
You must defend your use of time
You must become involved in some action related to your product or process
What are the 3 rules of Genius Hour?
1. Students must start with an essential question that cannot be answered with a simple Google search.
2. Students must research their questions using reputable websites, interviews, and/or print resources.
3. Students must create something. Their product may be digital, physical or service-oriented.
