Bus Routes
It is the expectation of drivers to follow routes as planned and approved for safety. Drivers should never deviate from planned and approved routes. That said, we will always work with drivers to identify issues or concerns in an effort to ensure buses are following the safest and most efficient path possible. (see #3)
All bus routes are shared with local RM's to ensure that the proposed roads are maintained during the winter months for the safety of students and staff. It is important to note that there is no expectation of RM's to maintain roads other than those approved. (see #1)
If there is a need to adjust a loaded route to improve safety or efficiency, drivers must submit change requests to the Transportation Department for verification by RM's, redesign, and approval. (see #1)
If drivers wish to use alternate roads to get to the first stop in the morning it is recommended to check with your local RM to ensure the roads are maintained during winter months.
