Local Scholarships
The scholarships listed here are available locally for Horicon seniors. Students should review this list for those scholarships that are available. Application information will be posted here as it is updated for the current school year. Students will receive more information in their English classes in January.

Note: Some local scholarships require an additional application form. These are listed below. Applications will be added as they are updated for the Class of 2026. Please be patient and check back often! Please read all directions carefully and pay attention to deadlines. Out of respect for the privacy of our donors, these documents may only be accessed by students through their school Google accounts.
40 Et 8 Nurses Scholarship: $300 per year for four years to a Dodge County student entering the field of nursing (does not include LPN). Selection based on scholastic achievement, need, leadership and character. Please review instructions and all three sheets in the application document. Deadline: March 15, 2026.
Alpha Xi Scholarship: Two $1000 awards to students planning to enter the field of education or child development at a technical college or four-year college. Must rank in the upper quarter of their class and attend one of the following school districts: Beaver Dam, Horicon, Markesan, Portage, Randolph, Ripon, or Waupun. You must include your transcript with the application materials. Deadline: March 31, 2025.
Arc of Dodge County Scholarships: Two scholarships in the amount of $1000 to Dodge County students who are entering the field of special education. 3.0 GPA required. Deadline: April 15, 2025.
Beaver Dam Conservationists Scholarship: Open to local students who are continuing their education at a college or technical college in the 2026-27 school year. Submit one page essay as directed. Deadline: April 30, 2026.
David G. Cook Shooting for Scholarships: Four $1000 scholarships available to building and trades students (ie. construction management, architecture, building trades, engineering, interior design, etc.). One scholarship for a student who is the son/daughter of a current Eastern Ridge Home Builders Association member or the child of an employee of a member business. Second scholarship for a student from Fond du Lac, Dodge or Green Lake Counties. Deadline: March 31, 2026.
Dodge County Area Retired Educators Association (DCAREA) Scholarship: $500 to one Dodge County student who plans to pursue a career in education. 3.0 GPA required. Deadline: April 1, 2024.
Dodge County Executive Law Enforcement Association Scholarship: $1000-$5000 to a Dodge County student who is pursuing a career in criminal justice or a related field at a university or technical college and attending full-time. Deadline: May 30, 2025.
Dodge County Master Gardener Association Scholarship: $1000 to a Dodge County senior planning to attend a two or four year college to pursue a career in a horticulture-related field. This includes, but is not limited to, horticulture, plant science, soil science, agriculture, environmental science, landscaping, forestry, and science education. Deadline: March 31, 2025.
Duane Bark Memorial Scholarship: Two $500 awards, one for a male and one for a female student who is graduating from a member school of the Trailways Conference. This scholarship recognizes the gifts of students in the areas of athletic leadership, positive influence toward other students, and living out Duane's ideals of faith, love, and dedication. Deadline: April 1, 2025. Please return all application materials to Mr. LeBouton.
Equity Ripon-Lomira Shipping Association Scholarship: Four $500 scholarships to students entering their first or second year of post-secondary education in the counties of Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Sheboygan, Washington, and Winnebago. Students must be pursuing an ag-related career, have a 3.0 GPA, and participated in at least one extracurricular activity. Deadline: March 31, 2025.
Horicon FFA Alumni and Supporters Scholarship: Two $1000 scholarships to any agriculture students or FFA members attending a post-secondary institution in any field. Deadline: February 27, 2026.
Horicon Lions Club Scholarship: three scholarships in the amounts of $1250, $750 and $500, to be awarded to three graduating seniors from Horicon High School. Recipients must have performed some community service work for the Horicon Lions Club. Deadline: March 20, 2026.
Horicon Marshmen Foundation Scholarship: $1000 to a student who demonstrates kindness, volunteers in school and community activities, and is accepted into an apprenticeship program, an accredited vocational or technical program, or an accredited college program. Deadline: March 1, 2026.
Horicon Marsh Veterans Hunt Scholarship: Two $1000 scholarships to Wisconsin high school seniors attending four-year college/university, two-year college/university, junior college/university, technical college, or vocational college. Must demonstrate volunteer/community service work. Deadline: August 15, 2026.
Horicon Phoenix Scholarship: $500 to one Horicon senior, or homeschooled student living in the Horicon School District, attending either a four-year college or university or technical/vocational college. Primary criteria is community involvement in volunteer or other civic engagement activities. Deadline: April 1, 2026.
Joan M. Vande Castle Scholarship: $500 to student who is the son/daughter of an Eastern Ridge Home Builders Association member business or the child of an employee of a member business, regardless of career goals. $500 also to a student graduating from a high school in Fond du Lac, Dodge or Green Lake Counties and entering college for a field of study relative to the building and trades industry. Deadline: March 31, 2026.
Kane/Pufahl Scholarship: in the amount of $600.00 to be awarded to a graduating senior of Horicon High School. Deadline: March 1, 2026.
Lee Hardesty Memorial Scholarship: in the amount of $500 to be awarded to a graduating senior. Students have been active in the agriculture program during their high school careers. The student is pursuing a career in agriculture. Recommendation of agriculture teacher is required. Deadline: February 24, 2026.
Marsh Hawks Scholarship: $500 to a wrestler or manager planning to attend technical college, four year university, or specific training for a trade/career. Preference given to wrestlers who have been members of Marsh Hawks, but it is not a requirement. Must have 2.0 GPA. Apply using the application to the right. Deadline: March 15, 2025.
Memorial Go Kart Trade Scholarship: Ten scholarships, averaging $1200 each, for students from Southeast Wisconsin who are planning to pursue a career in the skilled trades. Must attend high school in Washington, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Waukesha, or Dodge County. Must have a 2.5 GPA. Deadline: April 1, 2025.
Moraine Park Senior Award: $400 to one Horicon graduating senior attending Moraine Park Technical College in the fall of 2024. Must have a high school GPA of 2.60. Deadline: April 15, 2025.
Technical Excellence Scholarship: $2250 per year to one Horicon student attending a Wisconsin technical college. Students should complete a Request for Consideration form specifying how they meet the eligibility requirements AND the form at the right. These should be submitted to the high school counseling office. Deadline: February 13, 2026.
Thomas H. Lutsey-Waseda Farms Scholarship: four year $10,000 scholarship. Graduating senior attending high school within 150 miles of Green Bay. Attend a four year university (ok to transfer from two year). Must pursue a career with an agriculture focus (ie. dairy/animal science, agricultural engineering, veterinary medicine, biotechnology, environmental science, agribusiness, etc.). Must have a 3.0 HS gpa and 19 ACT. Application opens January 1. Deadline: April 1, 2026.
Tom Murphy Memorial Scholarship: in the amount of $1000 to be awarded to a graduating senior. Parents must be members of the Booster Club all of the years the student was enrolled at HHS, student must participate in one competitive sport (including school-recognized club sports such as trap, fishing and bowling) each year at HHS, and the recipient must be enrolled in a full time post secondary program or attending school in conjunction with an apprenticeship in a trade. Student must not have any major code violations. Students must submit an answer to the supplemental question found here AND submit a general application (available January 2026). Recipients must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA for the first semester of their post high school education. Deadline: February 24, 2026.
United Grain Producers LLC Scholarships: Ten $1,000 scholarships (minimum of two for trade education), available to, 1) members of UWGP, 2) customers/producers of UWGP, 3) students (son or daughter) of members and customers/producers of UWGP, and 4) graduating seniors/alumni of area* high schools (includes Horicon) who are furthering their education at any college or trade institution, whether as a full- or part-time student. Deadline: March 1, 2025.
Village of Kekoskee Scholarship: Two $1000 scholarships are awarded to students who have been residents of the Village of Kekoskee and former Town of Williamstown for two years. Deadline: March 15, 2026.
Viola Neuendorf Schielke Scholarship: Awarded to a Horicon senior who attends UW-Platteville. Preference given to students majoring in education. Scholarship is renewable once the student reaches their senior year of college. Amount of award varies. Students should apply online through the UW-Platteville Foundation. Deadline: April 1, 2026.
William C. Kern Memorial Scholarship: in the amount of $500.00, will be awarded to a graduating student that possess the characteristics of Sweet William, the most honest, hardworking, caring person you could meet. Deadline: March 15, 2026.
W.I.L.D. (Wilderness Investing in Leadership Development) Scholarship: For a graduating senior living in Sauk, Columbia, Juneau, Adams, Marquette, Dodge or Green Lake counties who will be attending an accredited college, university or technical college. Must have a 2.5 GPA. Deadline: March 1, 2026.
Wings Over Wisconsin Scholarship: $1000 to a Horicon, graduate pursuing a career in natural resources, conservation or related fields. Submit cover sheet, transcripts, ACT scores, recommendation letters, resume, and essay as directed. Deadline: February 28, 2026.
