The nursery building is bright, spacious and very well organised. There is also big, shaded outdoor space for children to enjoy even in hot weather. All equipment is clean and well looked after. You just know that your child is safe. The teachers are amazing - very experienced Mrs Gibbons, Miss Bigham absolutely loved by my child, and assistants full of great ideas. Every day is packed with clever activities. My child loved making an x-ray of her hand using cotton buds. A massive thank you for 2 wonderful years. Do not change anything - it's perfect as it is. My child is ready for big school now!
Having just moved into the area and X having a new baby brother we were very concerned how she may find settling into a new Nursey setting. We did raise our concerns but X settled in straight away. The staff ensured that she was happy and interacting with all children. I was able to speak to staff at end of day or during the day for an update of how she was getting on / settling in. I was always reassured. X has blossomed into the most confident, inquisitive and clever social butterfly. It is lovely to see her practice her numbers / letters / sounds in creative activities that we have adapted to use at home. HEN is always spoken about at home and what activities are learnt. I can’t fault the service, it is exactly was is needed and has served X well. All queries and concerns are answered and dealt with effectively and promptly. Thankyou to everyone at HEN.
HEN has provided the most wonderful experiences for our two children. They have loved their days with the team and have always been so happy to go in and explore. What a wonderful start to their educational journey with Hordle Primary School.
The communication is great. Being able to see what your child is up to on Tapestry is wonderful, especially when you may have had a wobble and wonder if they’re ok at such a young age. The staff are kind and considerate as well as highly professional and it fills me with confidence see X skip in happily to her sessions. I am hopeful this this time in HEN has set us up for a settled transition to year R.
My children (aged 2 and 4) both attend Hordle Explorers Nursery and they are absolutely blooming in the setting. They are completely engaged with themes explored, and come home full of enthusiasm to share their learning. HEN encourages independence and free-thinking whilst in a supportive and nurturing environment. The teachers are approachable and knowledgeable, and communication received from the Nursery is very informative with regular Nursery Notes for parents and Tapestry updated regularly. I would absolutely recommend Hordle Explorers to any parents looking for a warm and positive placement for their children and a first class stepping stone to 'big school'.
