After returning your application form to us, a non-refundable deposit of £30 will be required before we can proceed with your application. Once received, your child will be held on our waiting list until your chosen start date. In line with our Admissions policy, we allocate spaces 2 terms in advance and therefore would be in contact to ask for your chosen sessions, 2 terms prior to your child's start date (for example if you wish for your child to start in September, we would contact you in January to begin this process).

Important changes to our School Admissions Policy from September 2024
Further to a recent consultation carried out in January 2023, we can now confirm that the following addition to our oversubscription criteria has been applied and will come into effect for September 2024 Year R applications:
Criteria 8) Children who, at the time of application, attend Hordle Explorers' Nursery for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
This means that 'out of catchment' children who attend Hordle Explorer's Nursery will have a higher chance of securing a place at the school than out of catchment children. No other children are affected by this change.
This new policy will come into effect for pupils applying for a YR place with us from September 2024 (date of birth between 1st September 2019 - 31st August 2020).
Children must be on role at Hordle Explorers Nursery by October 31st of the previous year to be eligible to be considered for admission into the school based upon this criteria.
For full details of the policy please visit the admissions page of our school website.
