The local animal shelter, where the cross country team routinely volunteers, renovated their facilities and needed cat trees for their feline enclosure. The cross country team followed plans to build trees out of 1" PVC pipe, and finished plywood platforms so the shelter would have towers that could be routinely housed down for cleaning.
PVC was measured, marked and cut with PVC cutters. Team leaders then organized all the cut PVC into four boxes to organize materials for four groups. This process of organizing materials before the work is called "knolling."
