Environmental science students made outdoor items to improve/interact with the natural environment.
These students chose to make a bat house. They made it out of three cedar fence boards. The boards were measured, marked and cut, then front and side panels were glued together with wood glue and clamps.
The inside panels had grooves cut with the table saw and a vent cut using the router table. The sides were then glued together with wood glue and 18 gauge brads.
A bat symbol was cut out on the laser cutter and attached, then the whole bat house was painted in exterior dark paint before hung outdoors.
