National Business Honor Society

Hopedale’s National Business Honor Society was established in 2014 to recognize those students in business with academic and personal success. This is a wonderful opportunity for juniors and seniors at Hopedale.

In order to qualify, students in grades 11 or 12 must have completed or be enrolled in at least 3 businesses courses, have a minimum 3.5 weighted GPA, and have demonstrated scholarship, character, and leadership in school.

All members will participate in a 1 day business service project in the fall and spring. In past years, the service project was a financial literacy event at Memorial Elementary School for 5th and 6th graders. Monthly meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of every month at 2:05 pm in the Media Center. There is no fee to participate.

Applications for each school year are due in the middle of October. Students will be notified of acceptance by the end of October. An induction ceremony will be held for selected students, family, friends, teachers, and administrators in November in the auditorium at Hopedale Jr.-Sr. High School in the evening. Please email Mrs. Ingemi (lingemi@hopedaleschools.org) if you have any questions.

*** Eligible business courses are at the discretion of the chapter board of directors. At least one business course must be a semester based class (.5 credits) such as Accounting, Sports & Entertainment Marketing, and Internship offered at Hopedale Jr.-Sr. High School.
