DECA Cord- turn in documentation by DECEMBER 1 of your senior year to DECA Google Classroom (along with a few more steps) and earn the DECA Emerging Leader Award through National DECA.
If you have a 3.2 GPA and are a senior, strongly consider completing the steps to get a DECA cord for graduation and have been an active DECA member.
Steps include:
Complete the Google form by putting links to pictures, emails or adequate documentation to prove the completion of each item.
When you finish the Google form, make sure to click turn in. Otherwise, no one knows you are applying for the award.
Go to this website. https://www.deca.org/calendar/emerging-leader-honor-award-nominations-due and click the blue "Student Login" button. Your username is your DECA member number, and your password has to be reset by your DECA Advisor.
Click the boxes on the DECA Website That correspond to the Google form that you filled out to apply for the award. Only click boxes that you have documentation for.
Pay $20 on MySchoolFees before March 1.
National Business Honor Society Cord- See criteria for admittance to NBHS on the NBHS page.
Program Completion- Students earn one medal for completing either the Finance or Marketing pathway. If students complete two pathways, they earn two medals. Students must complete the cord survey by March 1 to receive this medal. Turn in your 140 hour Internship Agreement by the last day of class of your senior year. The Internship is a requirement for program completion.

NBHS Members- If you were just inducted senior year into NBHS, payment must be made by February 1. You only have to pay one time when you are inducted, not both years.
